Pam McWhorter
Dallas, TX

After 17 years as a school teacher, Pam McWhorter was thinking about getting into a new business, even a side business. She met with a friend who was already involved with Wingstop and was impressed with the energetic atmosphere of the restaurant and found the concept ideal for someone with little cooking experience. “The simple concept of selling chicken wings was ideal for me, because I had no restaurant or food experience coming into this,” said McWhorter. “The food is so great but still easy to prepare quickly.” Pam partnered with a friend to open her first location and quickly a side business turned into life-changing experience. “I was happy teaching, but always worked extra jobs to make ends meet for my family,” she added. “Owning my own Wingstop is more rewarding and provides a better income.”
