What makes Wingstop a unique franchise opportunity?

Most people feel these are the main attributes:
  • Secret recipes – proprietary flavor profiles developed over years of experience provide quality and consistency that most chains only hope to achieve.
  • Exceptional efficiency – because 75-80% of our business is carry-out, your location can have a small footprint in an in-line neighborhood shopping center. There is no need for drive-thru accessibility or ground-up construction to impede development.
  • Comfortable surroundings – Wingstop restaurants feature a nostalgic, aviation-themed atmosphere featuring 1930’s – 1940’s, pre-jet engine aviation décor and artifacts. The entire family will feel welcome in our comfortable and inviting surroundings.

What does Wingstop look for in a franchise candidate?

We look for good people who will make good operators, specifically, people who:

  • Want the pride, challenge, and tremendous rewards of owning your own Wingstop.
  • Are hard working, progressive and have the positive outlook necessary for business success.
  • Want to be a valued member who shares common goals and interests.
  • Restaurant experience is helpful but not necessary for single-unit operators. In fact, the majority of our brand-partners had never been in the restaurant business prior to joining Wingstop.
  • Multi-unit developers should have previous restaurant operational and/or development experience.

What other products are offered at Wingstop?

Although our wings are a meal by themselves we also offer a variety of delicious homemade sides including fresh-cut in house seasoned fries, bourbon double-baked beans, classic pearl potato salad, chilled carrot and celery sticks, creamy Ranch or chunky Bleu Cheese dressings, hot rolls, soft drinks, and a wide selection of beers and wine.

What keeps others from copying Wingstop’s unique flavor profiles?

Wingstop’s proprietary sauces and seasonings are contract-manufactured by Wingstop Restaurants, Inc. After testing, we ship each batch directly to our distributors and in turn shipped to our franchised stores. Our proprietary sauces and seasonings are not made available to any other person or company.

What locations work best for Wingstop?

This is one of Wingstop’s real strengths. Our small footprint (1350-1800 square feet) is perfect for neighborhood in-line shopping centers, close to where our customers live. Visibility, a complimentary tenant mix, and ease of entrance and exit are extremely important factors.

What does the $311,500 to $538,000 investment include and how much of that can be financed?

How long does it take to open a Wingstop restaurant franchise?

The time line can vary depending on a number of factors. Typically, the entire process takes about 10 months from your date of inquiry, which means now is the best time to request consideration as a Wingstop brand partner.

How much money can I make with a Wingstop restaurant?

Federal Trade Commission rules on franchising do not permit employees of Wingstop Restaurants, Inc. to provide any information regarding revenues, costs, or profits. As the process moves along you will be able to acquire the necessary information to develop your business plan with hard numbers. Our Federal Disclosure Document (FDD) does contain actual revenue numbers.

Can you send me a FDD for my review?

The short answer is “yes.” Here’s how it works:

  • You request an application from us.
  • You complete the application and return it to the Wingstop Business Development department for review.
  • Wingstop evaluates your qualifications and financial ability to successfully open and operate a Wingstop Restaurant.
  • If you are approved for the next step, your interests will be matched with our available opportunities and you will be issued a Franchise Disclosure Document (FDD). At this time we usually arrange a mutually agreeable date for a personal meeting.
  • You then review the FDD and begin your diligence process prior to scheduling personal meeting.
