Wingstop Honors Top Franchise Performers

Wing chain celebrates franchise excellence at national convention

 DALLAS Wingstop recently honored its top performing Brand Partners in sales, hospitality, service and other areas during the company’s national convention at the Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas.

The honorees of the 2008-2009 "Golden Goose" awards included single-store and multi-unit operators from a variety of backgrounds across the country. The chain also honored more than 60 stores as Million Dollar Club Members, for grossing more than one million in sales throughout the year. Top Gun Awards, recognizing stores for superior cleanliness, quality and hospitality, were presented to more than 60 restaurants as well.

Other top honorees included:

     - Nick and Lou Nardello of Chicago, Ill. for Best Overall Sales

     - Alfredo and Paulita Abellon of San Carlos, Calif. for Single-Unit Operator of the Year

     - Danny Sonenshine of Southern California for Multi-Unit Operator of the Year

     - Thomas Tran of Houston for First Place, Mystery Shop

     - Nathan Cage of Lubbock, Tex. for Local Store Marketer of the Year

     - Southern California Wingstop Advertising Association for Advertising Co-op of the Year

 

The Wingstop Vendor Partner of the Year award went to Tuscaloosa, Ala.-based Peco Foods, Inc.
